Subject Access Request
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) give you the right to ask the Office of the Kent Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) what information we hold about you.
To make a request for information held about you by the OPCC - known as a Subject Access Request (SAR) - please contact us via one of the following methods:
- Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Telephone: 01622 677055 (Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm)
- Post: The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Kent Police HQ, Sutton Road, Maidstone, ME15 9BZ.
A form has been provided to assist you in making your request, but you do not have to use it. If you do choose to do so, the SAR application form is available here. This can be completed and submitted to us at the contact details above. You may also make a request verbally.
We need to keep personal data secure, so you will need to prove you are who you say you are. To prevent any delay with the processing of your request, please provide copies of two documents which prove your identity. Between them they must show your name and address. Suitable documents include (but are not limited to):
- Driving licence
- Birth/adoption certificate
- Utility bill
We aim at all times to respond to your request within one calendar month. However, we may not make information available if the release of the information could disclose the personal data of another person.
The independent authority for data rights in the UK is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Please note that Kent Police has its own SAR process.
