The Freedom of Information (FOI) Act gives you the right to ask the Office of the Kent Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for information you believe we may hold.

Anyone can make a request for information – there are no restrictions on your age, nationality or where you live. Most requests are free but you might be asked to pay a small amount for photocopies or postage. You will be told if you have to pay anything.

We aim at all times to respond to FOI requests within 20 working days. This time limit starts on the day after the date of receipt.

Our FOI disclosure log summarises recent FOIs to which the OPCC has responded:

Copies of the full responses can be obtained by contacting the OPCC.

There are however a number of exemptions to releasing information. Further details about these exemptions are available on the Information Commissioner’s Office website. The ICO is the independent authority for data rights in the UK.
