Matthew Scott recently hosted his third Blue Light Jobs Fair on 22 September 2022 at the Alexandra Suite in Swanley.

We had another successful jobs fair where many people attended and took away useful information about different organisations. It is our hope those people who came to the fair will be applying for roles in these organisations very soon. 

"“I didn’t believe I could do it, but now I’m inspired!”

A quote from one of the parents who came along to my BlueLight Jobs Fair - who brought their child along but ended up registering for Police recruitment herself!

The PCC stated:

‘My Blue Light Jobs Fair allows would-be new recruits a chance to speak to officers and staff to get more information about the various roles on offer, and how to apply.'

As well as Kent Police, the event was attended by representatives from Kent Fire and Rescue Service, a number of criminal justice agencies like HM Prison Service and the Crown Prosecution Service. Visitors could also find out more details about volunteering with the likes of Victim Support or the Kent Special Constabulary.
