Have your say on the future of Kent police.
Matthew Scott, Kent’s Police and Crime Commissioner, wants to know how much crime and antisocial behaviour affects people across the county and what issues Kent Police should focus on.
The Annual Policing survey for 2024 has been launched, which gives people their say on what Kent Police’s priorities should be and seeks their views on how well the Force is performing.
Mr Scott said,
“Asking people to tell us about their experience of crime and antisocial behaviour is the best way to find out what is happening in different parts of the county and most importantly, whether enough is being done about it.
I have promised to support residents and businesses and Kent Police is working hard to target areas where there are persistent problems. But we won’t know if this is working, unless you tell us what things are like where you live.
I also want to know about your trust in Kent Police. Again, the police are working hard to build trust and confidence, but we need to know if more can be done.
This survey is anonymous and will take no more than 5 minutes of your time. I appreciate your time.”
The survey also asks whether people have been a victim of crime and whether they felt the matter was dealt with appropriately. Its results will be fed into the new Police and Crime Plan, due for publication in 2025.
Mr Scott added,
“My mission is clear. Cut crime, support victims, build trust. I want to work with residents, business and the police to deliver it.”
