The PCC has issued a statement, following the rioting and violence seen across England over the last few days.
"The criminality and disorder we have seen across the country is inexcusable. The violence aimed at the police, businesses and the public is wrong.
If anyone seeks to commit this disorder here in Kent then I am clear that they must feel the full force of the law.
I have been working with the Chief Constable and I will give Kent Police any and all support they need.
In order to reassure residents and businesses, Kent Police has issued the following statement.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “We are aware of possible protest dates and locations being promoted on social media and are well prepared to respond swiftly and robustly to any incidents of disorder that may arise.
“The force is continuing to monitor all available information and has sufficient resources in place to respond while continuing with the daily business of keeping people safe and preventing and detecting crime.
“Officers are also engaging with communities to provide ongoing reassurance.”
Our brave Police Officers and Staff are working hard across the country to protect the communities they serve. I am grateful to all of them."
Matthew Scott, Kent Police and Crime Commissioner
