In the Autumn of 2024, the PCC launched three surveys: one for parents, one for secondary school students and one for primary school children.
He wanted to understand how many children now have smartphones, how many were using social media, whether they'd been bullied or picked on online and if they had, whether they'd told their parents about it.
He also wanted to know if the child's school was a smartphone free zone, or had restrictions of any type on smartphones at school.
