Business leaders attended an event in Ashford to learn how to spot the signs of exploitation

Kent Police, in partnership with Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, arranged a free conference on modern day slavery on March 28, 2019.

The day was designed to inform businesses of the warning signs to look out for and outline responsibilities to work with police and partners to target criminality and protect the most vulnerable in society. It also raised awareness of modern slavery in supply chains and helped attendees protect themselves and their businesses from becoming involved in this most serious of crimes.

This event was part-funded using money the PCC obtained from the Police Modern Day Slavery Transformation Fund.
