A message from Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Scott:
It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of one of our Independent Custody Visitors, Renata Stevens.
Renata had been an ICV at North Kent Police Station for over four years and was a valued member of the team. Her passion and care for others made her perfect for the role, and her dedication to the cause really shone through in her work. She has made a positive difference to the welfare of detainees and standards within custody.
Renata’s friendly and kind nature had a considerable impact on everyone, from staff to volunteers, and she had made some close friends within the team. On behalf of my office and ICVs, I would like to thank Renata for her contribution to the people of Kent, and for making the world a brighter place. She will be deeply missed by us all.
Our thoughts and best wishes are with her family and friends during this difficult time.
