Matthew Scott talking to members of the public

The PCC is keen to engage with local people and partners on a regular basis.

A varied engagement programme ensures the public and partners can have their say on how their streets and communities are policed. This includes:

  • Question Time events held regularly across the county
  • Community street stalls
  • Social media updates on his work and who he has met
  • Private correspondence
This approach allows people to express their views in a way which is most convenient for them.

The PCC has also set out how he is listening to and supporting under-24s in a document titled Safer in Kent: Backing Young People.

in the community

As part of his commitment to engage with the communities of Kent, the PCC makes himself available at town centre street stalls and appears at 'Question Time' events to talk about his role and his priorities.
